So we are traveling in a big (and growing) group and will have little ones with us.. we would prefer to be in a "quiet zone" and have the opportunity to visit the noise... how do we know which are is which?

Hi Matthew
Your kids and growing ones will love the experience! The quiet zones will be outlined in the event map which you will receive upon arrival at the gate. The greeters will also brief you and there will be a whole section on children at the burn in our survival guide which will be available int he next few weeks. I can however send you the survival guide from last year to give you an idea.. the quiet zone will most likely be in the same area. I unfortunately dont know how to attach a document in the forum, please send your email address to info@afrikaburn.com and we will hot foot it to you or please post it up here!
Lastly but not leastly please make sure you are registered for the AfrikaBurn newsletter (if not go to www.afrikaburn.com and register pronto) There is a picnic planned in CT for Feb where all this kind of info will be explained (thats if you live in CT).

Will "silent" generators be acceptable in the quiet zone ?
Whilst they are referred to as silent, they are indeed quieter but not silent ...... for fridge power not lighting so could run during the day
Thank sfor your views
